When PulseAudio exits, audio does not work. "The default settings of PulseAudio cause the sound server program to exit after 20 seconds of inactivity. I believe Citrix Workspace is using pulseaudio going by the below, though as I mentioned above I do not see it as one of the devices in Pulseaudio Volume Control. Navigate to the Uninstall a Program interface from Microsofts Control Panel. I commented out 'load-module module-role-cork' in /etc/pulse/default.pa but that did not resolve the issue even after restarting. Group Policy path is the same on Windows Server 2008 R. If all clients have the same issue, check whether audio and video playback redirection is allowed on the server. I can see MS Teams as 'Skype' and Plexamp as 'ALSA plug-in =' in Pulseaudio Volume Control but do not see anything for Citrix Workspace. If the issue occurs to single/several clients, please check Remote Audio settings under Local Resources tab within mstsc.exe. Follow the onscreen instructions and see if that helps. To run it, go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters > Playing Audio > Run the troubleshooter. If I stop using these apps, after a minute or so, sound starts working again in Citrix Workspace. This is a built-in tool in Windows 10 that can automatically detect and fix audio-related issues. ![]() Same if I am listening to music in Plexamp locally. I run Microsoft Teams locally on my Linux Mint pc and when I am in a call, sound no longer works in Citrix Workspace. The major problem I am encountering is that in the device manager screen, there is absolutely nothing that refers to sound or audio,, however in the ‘system devices’ list there is a heading: High definition Audio controller, I click it, it says its working properly, go to update driver, it searches the net and says that i have the latest driver installed. I started using my Linux Mint laptop to connect to a VDI through Citrix Workspace but am running into issues with sound. ![]()
